A note from the Artist

Have you ever had a moment when sound opened a door inside you? That is how this series began—while listening to jazz legend Donald Brown. His music struck me in a way beyond words. Images rose within me, not as pictures, but as emotions and movements, as if the music itself had

become visual poetry.

One piece in particular “Theme for Malcolm” stayed with me. Its rhythm breaks apart and returns again, much like life itself: moving forward, disrupted, and then somehow finding a new rhythm. That truth echoed through my own journey of loss. Nothing could prepare me for losing my son, my stepson, and my wife. Grief like that pulls you off the familiar path and sets you in a place where silence is louder than words.

When I began painting these works, I was not speaking to those I lost I was speaking to the greater grieving heart of humanity. Because grief is not mine alone. The rhythm of life can be broken, yet beauty remains in its return.

Whispers of the Unspoken is for those moments of stillness—for anyone who needs to pause, breathe, and search within themselves. Each piece is a quiet space, a balance of silence and rhythm, an invitation to find light even when the path has been disrupted.

A little stillness.

A little rhythm.

A little return.

What collectors are saying...

Artboard 1

What I really like about Paul’s work is his use of color and texture in combination. Many artists focus on one or the other but Paul has great efficacy in both color and texture.

Paul’s work is contemporary but there is something old soul about it.
